BEST BELIEVE REVIEW

MY MAN JOEYMC OVER AT POSTED IN THE PARKING LOT BLOG WAS KIND ENOUGH TO REVIEW MY NEW SEAHAWKS VICTORY SONG, CHECK THE INK Y'ALL!

The man Luke Rain comes with something way different on his homage to the boys in blue and green. “Best Believe” sounds pretty lo-fi and like it could have been something that would’ve been around when Dave Krieg and company won the franchise’s first division title as part of the AFC West in ’88. Here’s what L.Agua had to say about the song’s creation:
Right after Saturday’s oh so epic game, on my drive to Little Ceaser’s to cop some $5 pizza & buffalo wings, I found myself singing a catchy little melody. I sang it in the car, I hummed it while gorging myself on junk food, and I worked it over in my head while watching yet more football. As soon as the Colts/Jets game hit halftime I ran to the studio & laid it down. My dad, a long time bass player, happened by & threw in an idea for a bass line just as I had slapped out a drum loop. A few hours of writing, recording and bourbon sipping later, I had the track you have before you.
Personally, I like my team chest-thumping songs to be more anthemic, but I appreciate the playfulness he imbues in the track — I mean, a 7-9 team getting in the playoffs is funny enough, let alone winning a game. And maybe I shouldn’t be so invested in this football thing anyways.
