Always a great session with Luke!

Out of all the sensei's I have had sessions with, Luke Rain is the best by far. He explains the dojo concepts and principles to me in layman's terms. Everything he says is immediately applicable to my workflow and he regularly sends me short messages to make sure I'm staying on track with my production. The dudes a G, a killer teacher and he always keeps me motivated while pinpointing where I'm slackin or missing concepts. I always choose him for sensei sessions.

Luke was awesome and listened to my needs, and is setting me up for success.

I know I can be sometimes more verbose than necessary, however in this case I never think I have enough words! Luke Rain always takes his time to ask me what can he do to help (even about issues that I have had repeatedly) with kindness, respect, consideration, & clear direction so that I know not only what I'm doing, but how to do it (on my own after the session) & why it works that way. His knowledge of the techniques I need to understand & can apply within the platform (DAW) I use is both comprehensive & extensive; & even when he needs to go in depth, it is in a clear, relatable, & easy to follow method so I can repeat it for myself. Additionally, we are able to connect as friends & colleagues so I look forward to speaking with him every month! Honestly, I have tremendous anxiety about everything still & Mr. Rain has such a natural, knowledgeable, calm, & fun demeanor that he is able to cut right through it with ease; & he always makes sure that I am in a much better place when we are finished, than when we started. I am so grateful for the Dojo & for everything it has been able to do for me mentally, emotionally, & musically & especially that I have such a fantastic Sensei with Luke Rain!!

Luke did an amazing job and walked me through his mixing process and gave me some actionable steps to follow through on.

He used excellent analogies to help me understand better.

No matter what is happening, Luke Rain takes his time & effort to make sure I understand everything completely. He never makes me feel rushed or hurried & his naturally easy going, considerate nature makes it possible to feel as if i can ask any question (even if i doubt what i might be asking). His simple to follow directions & suggestions have made it possible for me to make big differences with just small changes & he has been 100% supportive & encouraging despite every doubt I've had. He goes above & beyond to make sure that I am not only comfortable with the material we are learning, but also will revisit concepts in order to make sure my foundation is strong enough that i truly feel i can progress forward with confidence. I am so humbly grateful for his time & knowledge & even more so for his patience & ability to make me feel like I am talking to a friend. He is a fantastic teacher & I am so grateful for the opportunity to access someone of his calibre, ability, & skill!

It was a really good session. Luke broke down the 3D space of making drums feel more full. I haven't been thinking about that at all. Also, he took extra time and helped make more sense of the skrillex bussing template.

My first session was enlightening!

Man this was an amazing session!! Luke really helped me to get on the right path toward progressing, by being real with me and helping me see my resistance toward the arraignment exercise. He helped me set goals that are realistic, achievable and measurable plan. He is also just a super cool dude to kick with! Can’t wait till next month ! Peace amongst worlds y’all!

It was very nice of Luke to pick up my last minute session request. We ended up having a great conversation about my workflow and he helped me realign my focus and get back on track! He even stayed a bit late to touch on a few final points - much appreciated!

Very helpful & productive! I find a lot of value in sharing my screen while working on the project myself. Sometimes it's nice to send my project and have the sensei do stuff for me, but I develop a deeper understanding when I'm doing it myself.

It was amazing how quickly he was able to help me fix the warped vocal. Talking to someone who has been in a similar situation is crazy helpful. They know how our brains work already. Had a blast!
